RFID awards to precede London forum
The 2006 RFID Breakthrough Awards celebrate the achievements and reward the successes of those using RFID technology across the world
The finalists for the 2006 RFID Breakthrough Awards have today been announced across seven categories. The 2006 RFID Breakthrough Awards, which will be presented at a prestigious gala dinner at The Banqueting House, Whitehall, London on 8th November, exist to celebrate the achievements and reward the successes of those using RFID technology across the world.

David Lyon, EPCglobal Business Manager, GS1 UK and member of the awards judging panel, admitted that choosing the finalists and eventual winners was not an easy job: 'We had a really tough time with this year's awards, the standard and range of nominations was astounding', he said, adding that 'the awards are a great way of showcasing the impact that RFID is having across so many industry sectors'.
The RFID Breakthrough Awards gala dinner evening acts as the annual gathering of the RFID community.
The evening will see the a total of eight awards presented to winners, including the RFID Visionary Award, an award for the person that has led the way in RFID, providing thought-leadership for the RFID world as a whole.
The RFID Breakthrough Awards gala dinner will take place on the evening before the RFID Networking Forum, Europe's premier meeting place for those interested and involved in RFID technology, which will take place on 9th November 2006 at the Olympia 2 Conference Centre in London.
