Racal Instruments Wireless Solutions (RIWS) has supplied CGC, the largest test-house in Taiwan, with its 6103 AIME/CT conformance test platform. The 6103 AIME/CT extends CGC's test capability and the range of services available to manufacturers in SE Asia. A key factor in choosing the 6103 AIME/CT was RIWS' track record in leading the development and deployment of Edge test technology.

RIWS was first to market with EGPRS test cases and still has more validated test cases than any other manufacturer.

Ann Tao of CGC said: "The addition of the 6103 AIME/CT to our test portfolio has played a key role in CGC achieving its recent PTCRB approved status".

"It represents a major step forward in increasing the availability of independent EGPRS testing".

"We are already using the system to test handsets for mobile manufacturers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan".

"We are finding the system to be easy to use and extremely capable".

Peter Connell, RIWS' General Manager commented: "Supplying a major test house in SE Asia with a RIWS platform represents an important milestone for the industry".

"APAC manufacturers now have access to independent, proven Edge test technology that will help them exploit global markets more quickly".
