Radiatron reckons the Erni TMC series of D-sub connectors offers the industry's widest choice of configurations, including power and press-fit versions for backplane applications, and industry standard IDC and surface mount varieties. Power contact versions are available in both press-fit and through-hole solder for PCB termination, and crimp or solder bucket for wire termination. They can handle up to 40A and a rated for more than 500 mating cycles.

Press-fit types cut system assembly time and cost and offer gastight, corrosion proof and mechanically strong connections.

They are nonpolluting because no cleaning, flux or soldering materials are needed and no thermal stress is applied to the PCB.

IDC connectors are ideal for field wiring applications and their discrete IDC contacts can be terminated with minimal hand tooling.

The surface mount versions feature a unique design of pick-and-place cap to facilitate automatic assembly.

The cap simply slides off after the connector has been loaded.

Precision contacts ensure excellent coplanarity to guarantee accurate and consistent pick-and-place loading.

TMC series connectors are available in 9, 15, 25 and 37-pin varieties.

Surface-mount and press-fit versions are available in both straight and Right-angle options.

All types are designed to operate from -55 to +125C.
