RTXC originators break away from Lineo
Quadros Systems has acquired the RTXC and Quadros/RTXC operating system technology from Lineo
AT Barrett, the original developer of the RTXC technologies will serve as President of the newly formed Quadros Systems, and the Quadros Systems staff will include several of the original team that has developed, supported and marketed the current RTXC product line. The RTXC operating system technologies were originally introduced in the commercial embedded systems market in 1985.

Quadros Systems has received venture capital funding that will enable the company to fully support the RTXC product line and continue to evolve the technology.
In making the announcement, Barrett said, "Quadros Systems will provide dedicated focus on the RTXC products, improving service to RTXC customers worldwide".

RTXC technology is used by over 5000 customers worldwide for networking, telecommunications, transportation, medical and numerous other industries.
The RTXC product family was recently extended to include the Quadros operating system, which is fully scalable and offers four operating system frameworks including a single stack, multistack, dual mode and multiprocessor kernels.
