Sixteenth-brick DC/DC convertors boast high efficiencies and advanced thermal management, enabling delivery of up to 95% of full-rated power at 70C with as little as 1m/s of cooling airflow

Power-One has released the SSQ Series of sixteenth-brick DC/DC convertors. Operating from 36-75V DC inputs, three single-output models provide 2.5V at 20A, 3.3V at 15A and 5.0V at 10A. High efficiencies and advanced thermal management techniques enable delivery of up to 95% of full-rated power at 70C with as little as 1m/s of cooling airflow.

The SSQs have an industry-standard DOSA footprint and are RoHS compliant for all six restricted substances.

Additional features include: 1500V DC input-to-output isolation, basic insulation, startup into highly capacitive loads, and low conducted and radiated EMI.

Interface features include: remote on/off, remote output voltage sensing and industry-standard output trim.

Protections include: overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature.

Regulatory approvals include: UL60950-1/CAN/CSA-C22.2 No 60950-1, TUV EN60950-1 and IEC60950-1.

These cost-effective convertors incorporate 10.2mm heights and industry-standard 33 x 22.9mm footprints.

Pricing is $25 each in quantities of 1000.

Samples are usually available from stock.

Production quantities are typically available in 10-12 weeks.

Part number designations for 2.5, 3.3 and 5V models are SSQ48T20025, SSQ48T15033 and the SSQ48T10050, respectively.
