With 75,000 visitors from the international electronics industry expected to make their way to Electronica in Munich this November prospective delegates can save time and money by preregistering via the Internet.
By doing this, visitors are able to beat the queues, especially during the peak arrival hours in the morning on the first two days of the show.
Furthermore, those without guest tickets can save 20% on the ticket price by prepurchasing their tickets online by 8th November 2004.
Following their online registration, visitors with guest tickets or e-guest tickets who register themselves on the Electronica website will receive an e-mail containing a direct link to their personal online ticket voucher, which they can then print out and bring to the trade show.
In the entrance area at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, participants who have prepared in this way need only follow the signs for "Preregistered Visitors" and scan in their data via the barcode on their voucher.
Then they immediately receive a printout of their free ticket.
In this way, all preregistered delegates with (e-)guest tickets can quickly make their way through the turnstiles and into the exhibition halls.
The procedure is similar for visitors who do not have a guest card and want to secure their entrance ticket via the Internet.
After registering by entering their data, they click the link sent to them by e-mail and print out their voucher, which they can exchange for an entrance ticket directly at Electronica.
The ticket price can be paid quickly and securely online on the Internet or at the exhibition itself.
Here, preregistered delegates gain, as those who register online by 8th November 2004 benefit from a 20% reduction in the ticket price.
During registration, the delegate's complete company address and position within the company are recorded.
This data enables Munich Trade Fairs International to later perform an (anonymous) analysis of the participant structure for Electronica.
This information is then used to continue the development of the show and its offering of exhibitions and events.
Furthermore, if desired, visitors also have the option of receiving information about new developments and events following Electronica.
Another advantage - for the exhibiting companies as well - is made possible through registration via a "retracking" process.
When a participant visits an exhibitor's booth and would like to leave his or her address for further contact or to receive informational material, the personnel at the booth can scan the ticket and quickly call up the interested person's data via a central computer.
This eliminates the time-consuming exchange of contact details for all involved and enables exhibitors to quickly respond to visitors' queries.
Registration of all delegates has become the international standard.
Participant data is acquired and evaluated at the important exhibition locations throughout the world.
It goes without saying that Munich Trade Fairs International's system for Electronica meets all the requirements of Germany's data protection law.
