Pittsburgh Simulation Corp (PSC) has appointed Roddy Beat, formerly European Sales Manager for Cadence Design System's IMS group, as Director of European Operations. "Our mission is to dramatically reduce the verification time of complex semiconductor designs and shorten time to market", said Paul Carnaggio, PSC's President and CEO. "We are fortunate to be able to add an experienced design technologist like Roddy Beat to our executive team".
Roddy Beat remarked, "I joined Pittsburgh Simulation because verification is the number one challenge facing leading chip design companies today, and PSC's verification products offer leading European design houses a better solution for achieving fast time to market for their very large, complex electronic designs".
Beat is focused on the task of setting up the European headquarters for Pittsburgh Simulation.
The company's plans include a system centre with full application engineering support in a European location that will be announced next month.
