Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing has launched its new Extensions Partner Product Programme to ease the integration of embedded systems by ensuring hardware and software interoperability with industry leading third-party products. 'The Extensions programme effectively extends Curtiss-Wright's already broad product line to include partners' products thus giving customers the product interoperability benefits of a single vendor', said Lynn Patterson, Vice-President of Modular Solutions for Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing. Extensions speeds and simplifies the development of embedded systems by creating an ecosystem of partner company products that are comprehensively tested and certified as interoperable with Curtiss-Wright products.
As part of this new programme, Curtiss-Wright provides Extensions partner companies with special support in the design, certification and marketing of their own products.
As Extensions partners, member companies commit to a process that ensures the interoperability of their products with Curtiss-Wright products.
The benefit for customers of Curtiss-Wright and their partner companies will be a vast reduction in the technical risk and integration efforts for system integration projects that use Curtiss-Wright and Extensions-certified products exclusively.
For partner companies, Extensions provides a powerful but simple way to expand their market reach.
Curtiss-Wright has begun its new interoperability certification programme with more than ten industry-leading companies already registered as Extensions partners.
A directory of current Extensions-certified partner products is listed on the Curtiss-Wright website and will be continually updated as the list expands.
Qualified companies interested in learning more about the Extensions programme are invited to complete an application form on the website.
'For Critical I/O, joining the Extensions programme has provided us with easy access to design information crucial to ensuring that our future mezzanine cards are interoperable with the industry leader's base cards', says Erich Fischer, VP of Business Development for Critical I/O.
'Membership in Curtiss-Wright's Extensions programme has translated into access to key customers for our line of TCP/IP offload engine mezzanine cards'.
