ProDesign has reported its highest ever annual revenues, which increased by more than 30% from 2004 for the fiscal year ended 31st December 2005. Driving this growth was the Chipit ASIC Verification System business unit which doubled its revenues, an increase of 100% in just one year. ProDesign's Chipit customer base also grew significantly in 2005, now exceeding fifty customers worldwide.

In 2005, ProDesign moved its US headquarters closer to the EDA marketplace from Wilsonville, Oregon, to San Jose, California, to be able to better serve its customers.

Chipit Gold Edition Pro was launched, a new member of the company's family of high-speed ASIC prototyping systems.

There were enhancements in the software environments of existing Chipit Silver and Platinum systems.

To push expansion into Asia, ProDesign appointed two local distributors - Terasoft in Taiwan and Eastwell Technologies in China - to sell and support the Chipit product line.

Helmut Mahr, CEO of ProDesign, said: 'We are delighted about ProDesign's huge success in 2005'.

'Since our entry into the ASIC verification market four years ago we have been able to double our revenues every year'.

'What makes us especially proud is the fact that we were able to achieve this result without VC money, by our own efforts alone'.

'We are confident to reach this goal - double our revenue in the Chipit business - again in 2006 by offering new products - like the of announcement of Chipit Platinum V4 last week - and implementing other future plans we have'.

'ProDesign reinvested a considerable sum of the 2005 earnings to hire new hard- and software engineers to establish a strong development and support team to react to customer requests in the fastest way possible and to continue to develop great ASIC verification systems in the future'.
