Perforce Software is continuing to expand in the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of a new office in Sydney, Australia

This move enables Perforce Software to provide better support for its existing customers in Australia, India and China, as well as positioning the company for additional growth in the region as the worldwide popularity of Perforce SCM continues to increase. Perforce Software develops Perforce, the fast software configuration management (SCM) system, an award-winning tool that versions and manages source code and digital assets for enterprises large and small.

'We have carefully managed our growth over the years to ensure that each step maintains our ongoing stability and quality of service', said Nigel Chanter, Chief Operating Officer of Perforce Software.

'While Asia Pacific has always been an important market for us, the substantial customer growth we have seen in the region over the last year has made opening this office an obvious progression'.

Over the last year Perforce customers in Australia have increased nearly 40%.

Notable Asia Pacific customers include Canon, Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba, Toyota, Wipro and Sony.

More than 200,000 developers at 4000 organisations use the Perforce SCM system worldwide.
