Laser diode is designed for use in medical applications, industrial and medical sensor light sources and as a light source for various other types of equipment
Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist, has two new 635nm 5mW laser diodes from Opnext. The operating current on these diodes has been reduced by 50%, resulting in extended battery lifetime and lower power consumption without compromising their 5mW optical output power.
Their aspect ratio is also improved from 3.8 to 3.1.
They are suitable for use as light sources in laser levellers and measurement equipment, and ideal for medical and display applications.
Supplied in a 5.6mm package with 1N (HL6354MG) or 3P (HL6355MG) type common cathode pin configuration, the single longitudinal mode laser diodes have a typical operating current of 27mA, a low threshold current of 18mA, operating voltage of 2.2V, monitoring output current of 0.4mA, laser reverse voltage of 2V, PD reverse voltage of 30V and TM mode oscillation at a visible wavelength of 635nm.
The operating temperature range is 0 to +50C.
The Opnext HL6354/55MG laser diodes are pb free in compliance with the RoHS Directive. Request a free brochure from Photonic Products....
