Powersolve has announced a power supply capable of providing 400W without the need for forced cooling.

The PSL400BP Series of baseplate-cooled AC/DC units are designed to offer single outputs of 5, 12, 24 or 48V DC.

The input range is wide at 85 to 264V AC and 47 to 63Hz, and all models feature active Power Factor Correction to EN61000-3-2.

These ruggedised power supplies are housed in a robust, extruded aluminium chassis designed for use in industrial or other types of equipment where forced cooling and convection airflow is not available.

The PCB is conformally coated for protection against the ingress of moisture and dirt and operating temperature range is -20 to 70C, providing the baseplate temperature can be maintained at 80C or below.

Standard features include over current and short-circuit protection, over voltage and over temperature protection, output voltage adjust, remote on/off, good output power signal and +5V 1A standby output.

All units are also designed to be able to operate in parallel for N+1 redundant operation and feature integral ORing diodes.

All power supplies will carry full UL, cUL and TUV EN60950 safety approvals and conform to EN55022 conducted EMC requirements.
