High-temperature no-clean wave soldering flux solves wetting problems in lead-free wavesoldering

After 15 years of continuous use, Cobar 390-RX-HT high-temperature no-clean wave soldering flux is re-emerging as an increasingly popular solution to wetting problems in lead-free wavesoldering. According to Eli Westerlaken, Cobar President and CEO: 'This isn't a new formulation, in fact it has been in constant use for 15 years; it's tried and true'.

'But what makes this flux so appropriate now is the fact that it was developed initially as a high-temperature flux, using Cobar's proprietary synthetic technology'.

'As a result, it delivers powerful wetting performance for both conventional and higher-temperature lead-free applications without breaking down or compromising wetting'.

'It's a 'magic bullet' against solder balls and was developed and proven long before 'lead-free' became a buzzword'.

Cobar 390-RX-HT, which is available from Parkheath has been qualified by, and has been in use by major electronics manufacturers including Siemens, Jabil, Sanmina, Honeywell, and Osram for more than a decade.

390-RX-HT (HT for 'high temperature') is an enhanced version of Cobar's 390-RX, the world's first synthetic no-clean wave soldering flux qualified by Bosch for a high-end automaker's sophisticated airbag system.

'This is a proven product, not brand-new, with a long documented history', Westerlaken says.

'That's the best guarantee of success that a product can have'.
