The latest version of the Pika Technologies software development kit (SDK) supports non-facility-associated signalling (NFAS) and other SIP enhancements

Pika MonteCarlo SDK provides a comprehensive platform for the development of sophisticated voice applications in a Windows or Linux environment. It integrates with Pika's suite of analogue and digital boards for both DSP and host-based processing, in TDM, IP or mixed TDM/IP networks. The non-facility-associated signalling (NFAS) feature in the latest SDK release allows a single T1 D-channel to support signalling for multiple digital spans.

'Existing and new Pika customers in North America building medium to large T1 based systems will benefit from the updated software', said Doug Petty, Vice-President of Technology and Operations at Pika.

'In many cases, it will allow them to provision T1 network services much more economically'.

Pika supported hardware include the Pika line of digital T1 PCI and cPCI boards.

Pika MonteCarlo SDK release 6.4 is now available for download, along with the standard set of application tools for testing and setup, on the Pika Developer Zone.

Direct from Pika technical support for the SDK is also available at no charge.

'There are no hardware upgrades required for existing Pika customers', stated Terry Atwood, Vice-President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care at Pika.

'The latest release of our SDK is aligned with our strategy for continuous improvements that empower Pika developers to create applications for IVR, call centre, PC PBX, logging and fax'.
