The company's participation at this essentially technical forum is testimony to its ongoing commitment to product innovation and R and D and this year a total of four papers will be presented.
Three of these relate to the field of overhead cable systems and in particular to various performance characteristics of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) cable, a technology in which Prysmian currently leads the world.
The fourth paper is concerned with advanced mechanical protection of cables using polymeric armour.
The papers have been prepared locally at the production facilities in Brazil and USA.
Global R and D activities are managed from the company HQ in Italy and representatives from all three locations will be present at the conference to discuss the latest technical developments taking place within Prysmian.
In addition, during the conference plenary session, Patrick Steinemann, Executive Director, European Industrial Group, Goldman Sachs International will present 'An investor's view of wire and cables'.
