Philips has supplied the first Nexperia Home 8550 software development kit (SDK) for its Nexperia Home Partner Programme to IT Access Co, a leading consumer software developer based in Japan. Philips' new NH8550 SDK features Wind River Systems' integrated development environment, development tools and Platform for Consumer Devices.

The Philips Nexperia Home Partner Programme includes a variety of independent software vendors (ISVs) and integrators that develop software-based, value-add products.
The NH8550 SDK is a complete, assembled reference platform.
The SDK integrates the development tools and embedded platform provided by Nexperia Home partner Wind River, a leader in embedded software.
The kit provides partners with everything they need to create software applications and libraries for TVs, STBs, digital entertainment hubs, and home media server products based on the Nexperia PNX8550 home entertainment engine.
