IP67 sealed connectors ideal for outdoor use

PEI-Genesis is offering a range of low-cost IP67 sealed connectors designed to withstand harsh environments in applications including transportation, industrial, water treatment and petrochemical.

The Sure Seal connectors, which can also withstand the rigours of outdoor use, feature a tough, injection-moulded PVC body with multiple moisture seals and can accommodate up to 10 crimp contacts with current ratings as high as 85A.

The robust connectors have an operating temperature range of -40C to 105C, a maximum contact resistance of 10mohms, a minimum insulation resistance of 100Mohms and a dielectric withstand voltage of 1,200V AC.

The Sure Seal connectors were originally developed for use in automotive applications.

They have been tested to verify their electrical performance and resistance to water, oils, salt spray, ozone and ultraviolet light, as well as their ability to withstand shock, vibration and mechanical forces.

Sealing meets the requirements of IP67 and DIN 400 50 and the connectors are listed by both UL and CSA.

The connectors have a one-part moulded body and removable crimp contacts, enabling quick and easy termination by the user.

They are available in plug, flanged plug and receptacle styles and incorporate a polarisation feature to prevent mismatching of connector halves.
