The ptf 3201A is a low-cost GPS receiver for applications ranging from test and measurement to wireless communications, broadcasting and almost anywhere GPS technology is required. The ptf 3201A fits in a standard 19in rack and uses at its heart a fourth-generation GPS clock combined with an eight-channel GPS receiver, control circuitry and a high-quality oven-stabilised oscillator. Additional oscillator options are also available.

Originally developed as an OEM product for a major wireless infrastructure provider, PTF President, David Briggs, points out: "The ptf 3201A is just one example of the commitment PTF has to our customers to make a difference".

"This particular company came to PTF seeking a custom solution to meet performance and cost objectives, and our engineering team was able to accommodate".

Briggs added, "PTF has established a business model to enable cost effective flexibility.

This, together with the company-wide desire to deliver and outperform, enables us to help customers successfully meet their own requirements and performance objectives".

Available in mid-November, the ptf 3201A will start at $2100 (US domestic list price).
