Coaxial spring probe
passes automotive test
Peak Test Services has introduced what is believed to be the first threaded coaxial spring probe on the market
The new P820/G probe series should find applications in the automotive test field, where threaded probes have largely taken over from the traditional plug in probes. The probe has a choice of two tip styles, and mirrors the electrical characteristics of the P820 standard plug-in coaxial probe, which has been an industry standard for several years.

The outer contact is rated at 6A, and the inner at 1A, and the continuity resistance is less than 10mohm.
For easy replacement without the need for wire soldering, a wire plug is provided as an option.
Probe insertion and removal simply requires a 2mm Allen key.
This new probe range is available from Peak Test Services in the UK and Ireland or via a network of agents worldwide.
