Parker Hannifin's Electromechanical Division has published a new 12-page shortform catalogue detailing its extensive range of motion control equipment. The catalogue lists the key performance attributes of all of Parker's latest-generation servo drives, stepper drives and motorised positioning systems, and includes an overview of the company's custom engineering capabilities. The stepper section of the catalogue lists five types of ministep drive and three types of microstep drive, all of which are suitable for use with standard two-phase stepper motors.

The drives offer users a wide choice of power ratings - ranging from 2A to 12A per phase - and resolutions from 200 to over 50,000 step/rev.

A range of compatible stepper motors is also described, including a series of high voltage motors capable of producing up to 14Nm of holding torque.

The catalogue also highlights Parker's considerable portfolio of motorised positioning systems.

Products covered range from linear and rotary positioning tables - including a new linear motor driven model - for applications demanding submicron accuracy, through to high power linear actuators and electric cylinders for materials handling type applications.

Many of the servo and stepper drives featured in the catalogue are available with integral indexers and position controllers, but for system integrators who are implementing large multi-axis motion control systems, the catalogue also contains a dedicated section on controllers and interfaces.

Products covered include Parker's 6K series of stand-alone universal controllers, which can used with any combination of servo and stepper drives and expanded to handle as many as 32 axes, a range of human-machine interfaces that employ touch-screen technology, and a family of innovative, PC-based logic controllers.
