Quality certification for Enea
Enea has announced that it has received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quality management system.
Enea, the world leader in advanced device software, has announced that it has received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its quality management system.
"Being recommended for ISO certification is an important achievement for Enea," said Johan Wall CEO of Enea.
"It is also proof of our ability to do business in a structured and effective way, and not only live up to, but exceed our customer's expectations - a necessity in our business".
Semko-Certification AB, an independent ISO registrar, made the ISO 9001 recommendation and awarded the ISO 9001 certification after performing a rigorous week-long audit at Enea's Shepton Mallet office in the UK, and corporate office in Kista, Sweden.
The certification audit was performed with very good results, with the audit report indicating that Enea's development and test processes are state of the art.
"The auditors were quite pleased with our work and quite complimentary," added Wall.
"In particular, they noted that our development processes are truly state of the art, that we received remarkably few findings for an audit of this magnitude".
"We look forward to enhancing our ISO 9001 processes, and are confident that our commitment to quality management will extend our competitive advantage as the pre-eminent supplier of high-availability, high-reliability device software".
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for business quality management, encompassing all of the processes that organisations use to create and control the products and services that they provide.
ISO 9001 prescribes systematic control processes for all of the activities that companies use to ensure that customer expectations are met, and applies to virtually all products and services produced and delivered through any process anywhere in the world.
ISO 9001 provides a rigorous framework for instituting and optimising processes that helps improve quality, productivity, and efficiency, benefits that translate into lower defect rates, reduced waste, lower cost, greater on-time delivery, fewer customer complaints, and ultimately, greater customer satisfaction.
Ongoing ISO 9001 programs also demonstrate a commitment to improving quality, efficiency, and customer support that enhances company image in the eyes of customers, employees and shareholders alike.
