Ethernet interface puts
power amplifiers online
Ophir RF has added an Ethernet interface option to its range of power amplifiers, allowing devices to be remotely controlled from anywhere in the world
A major benefit of this connection technique is the convenience of being able to monitor and change the setting of an amplifier in extremely remote locations such as an island or a mountaintop. It is also ideally suited for less extreme locations such as just a few hundred feet away from the control office.

RF amplifiers provide powerful coverage
Two new RF power amplifiers together cover the entire 20-2000MHz frequency range at greater than 50W RF output power
All the normal communications methods that apply to LAN, WAN or worldwide web connectivity apply to the Ethernet interface option.
So the communications can be via twisted pair, wireless or satellite link.
Only a regular PC with a network card and a standard web browser are needed.
No special software is required, it is platform independent, and the interface integrates easily into existing LANs or WANs.
The price for the Ethernet interface option is $1200.
