Omron has introduced new high temperature versions of its D3V miniature unsealed switch designed to withstand temperatures up to 200C in domestic ovens and other similar applications

Rated at 11, 6 and 0.1A the new Omron D3V switches use polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) plastic moulding material because of its excellent high-temperature performance, inherent flame retardance and chemical resistance. As with all Omron D3Vs, the new high temperature versions conform to EN61058-1, UL1054, CSA C22.2 and UL858 requirements for components incorporated in household appliances.

The 6 and 0.1A versions are VDE and UL approved for an operating temperature of 200C, whereas the 11A has been submitted to VDE and UL for approval at 155C.

Omron has released the new D3V switches with the same range of actuators and contact layouts as the standard types.

All are available with either internally or externally fitted levers, two fixing positions for external levers and a choice of terminal options.

The switches are offered in SPDT, SPST-NC and SPST-NO configurations.

The D3V 0.1A type features a gold alloy crossbar contact ensuring long life expectancy and high contact reliability. Request a free brochure from Omron Electronics....
