Product engineers boost European support
Omron has brought three specialist product engineers from its manufacturing sites in Japan to Europe to support its European switching and relay customers
Each engineer offers in-depth expertise and strong individual skills in the design and development of high quality switching and power relay components for applications in the home appliance, automotive and industrial sectors. 'Demand for Omron's traditional switching and relay products is still extremely strong and the specialist skills of our internal product engineers are proving invaluable for the growth of the business throughout Europe', commented Nigel Blakeway, COO, Omron Electronic Components Europe.

Hiroto Yonehara has been relocated from Omron's Kurayoshi factory to the Milan office where he is already making his specialist knowledge accessible to customers throughout Europe.
In his role as detection switch engineer Yonehara is responsible for the investigation of market trends and the identification of new opportunities for customers.

Based in Munich, he will provide close examination of customer requirements and deliver expert technical support for Omron's range of high precision microswitches including tactile switches, DIP switches, detection switches and other specialised switches.
Omron has also moved relay specialist Hugo Sanada from the product engineering department in its Kumamoto Relay Factory to France.
By applying his expertise and capabilities in the development of PCB power relays and General Purpose relays, Sanada is responsible for conducting ongoing situation analyses of the relay market in Europe, as well as new product development and technical support.
