A new low-cost mosfet relay from Omron is offered at a price that brings it into contention as an alternative for reed relay applications ranging from ATE and data acquisition to security systems. In common with the entire G3VM range, Omron's new low cost G3VM-61G mosfet relay has a typical low on-resistance of just 1ohm, making it ideal for ATE and data acquisition applications. The low cost of the new device also makes it an ideal alternative to reed relays for antimasking security applications as it cannot be compromised by external magnetic influence.

The G3VM-61G is offered in a compact SOP-4 pin package measuring just 2.1 x 3.9 x 4.4mm and is rated at up to 400mA, 60V peak.

Typical operating time is 0.6ms and release time is 0.1ms.

Operating over the temperature range of -40 to +85C, the relay is available as a four-pin option in through hole and gull wing format for surface mounting.

Tape and reel packaging options are also available.
