Omron has a range of 120mA current limiting mosfet relays with fast turn on and turn off times to protect line interface equipment such as modems against line voltage and current surges. The Omron G3VM-3L and G3VM-2L are 6- and 4-pin devices, respectively, available in through-hole PCB and gullwing SMT packages.

Standard insulation voltage is 2.5kV AC for 60s, with higher insulation up to 5kV AC also available.

The G3VM-3L and G3VM-2L are produced in 1 Form A, SPST-NO configuration.

Peak load voltage is 350V, and turn-on and turn-off time are each 1ms.

The surface-mount option provides low-profile 4mm height for slimline designs, while 2.54mm pitch between pins on all models ensures compatibility with high-density solutions.

Typical applications range from electronic exchanges, through data communications and modems to measurement, security and industrial automation systems.

Six-pin relays in the family can be configured for AC or DC type connection, and 4-pin devices are for AC connection only.

On resistance is a low 22ohm for four-pin versions and AC connection, reducing to 7ohm for DC connection.

Leakage current when the relay is off is less than 15uA.

Production quantities are available in tape-and-reel format.

Operating temperature range is from -40 to +85C, and UL/CSA approvals are pending.
