NC relays for
switching small analogue signals
Omron has extended its newest G3VM range of MOSFET relays by introducing models with normally closed contacts in single pole, single throw (SPST) format
Omron has extended its newest G3VM range of mosfet relays by introducing models with normally closed contacts in single pole, single throw (SPST) format. The G3VM-353 series can switch AC or DC signals of minute amplitude. There are four variants, providing four- or six-pin options in either gullwing format for surface mounting, or through-hole packaging.

Ultrasmall surface-mount detection switch is ideal for miniaturised and lightweight applications
In common with other G3VM mosfet relays the new devices feature small size and low power consumption.
The surface-mount option provides low-profile 4mm height for slimline designs, while 2.54mm pitch between pins on all models ensures compatibility with high-density solutions.
Typical applications range from electronic exchanges, through data communications and modems to measurement, security and industrial automation systems.
Six-pin relays in the family can be configured for AC or DC type connection.
ON resistance is a low 15ohm for four-pin versions and AC connection, reducing to 4ohm for DC connection.
Leakage current when the relay is closed is less than 15A.
Omron's G3VM line offers a variety of features, including availability in 1 Form A, 2 Form A, 1 Form B, 4-pin, 6-pin, 8-pin, PCB, SMT and SOP packages.
The G3VM range has voltage control up to 600V.
Low on-resistance, current limiting, DAA multifunction, up to 5kV isolation and low C-R versions are also available.
