OEMs and EMS providers are currently investing in their manufacturing processes to ensure they are suitable for lead-free processing. In order to ease this financial burden, OK International's Impell brand is offering manufacturers a one-off opportunity to purchase a powerful, high performance process fume extraction system, at a significant 25% reduction - between now and 30th April 2005. The F8200 fume extraction series offers multiple benefits to greatly enhance your manufacturing environment and operator comfort, while still offering minimal noise levels in a small footprint.
Plant flexibility is increased, downtime reduced - when relocating lines, process control improved, visible energy and HVAC savings achieved, maintenance requirements reduced and ISO14000 standing improved.
All this for 25% less.
The F8200 fume extraction series is designed for connection to electronics production line equipment, such as wave soldering systems, reflow ovens and other applications requiring high airflow rates.
Built for maximum, consistent performance, it includes double prefilters for high dust loads and high capacity HEPA filters, (99.97% at 0.3um), for longer filter life.
Operation is made simple with multiple filter status indicators, warning lights and a front access door for easy filter maintenance.
Lead-free manufacturing processes will require higher soldering temperatures, chemicals and materials are therefore likely to become airborne in greater amounts than was the case with lead containing solders.
It is also likely that the use of lead-free solders will increase and not decrease evaporation from metals and fluxes.
And the concentration of activators found in fluxes used in lead-free solders, typically chemicals that are allergenic and irritating to the skin and eyes, is often double the level of those in tin lead solders.
Impell brand technology does not just move fumes around or vent them into the atmosphere, their powerful systems capture and filter fumes to protect against potentially dangerous gases and particulates.
