Board-to-cable connector loses its pins
ODU has introduced surface mount versions of its 2.54mm grid Flakafix IDC board-to-cable connector, which can also be specified in straight or right angle form
Both the straight and right angle strips are available from 10- to 64-way, and a low profile unit is included in the range. Variants are available with long or short locking levers, particularly suitable when using the strip as an external interface connector, and this version can also have board locks.
The design enables standard SMT solder procedures in a reflow oven to be used.
All components can be supplied in black so that pick-and-place machines with digital cameras can detect them.
Packaging options include cardboard box, tube or tape, and free demonstration packs are available.
