Octasic has added Megaco and SIP stacks from Radvision to its OCT9320 and OCT9360 Series of PTMC media gateway modules

Octasic has added Megaco and SIP stacks from Radvision, the industry leader in signalling for converged media over IP and 3G networks products, to its OCT9320 and OCT9360 Series of PTMC media gateway modules. The integration of Radvision's Megaco and SIP stacks into Octasic's modules unites the expertise of the signalling and voice processing industry leaders.

Octasic is now a total solution provider: its OCT9320 and OCT9360 modules perform all the voice processing and packet signalling required for media gateways in a ready-to-deploy format.

According to Frederic Bourget, Octasic's Director of Product Management: 'With the intensive hardware-software integration already completed, media gateway design engineers' task is greatly simplified'.

'OEMs can reduce development time and costs by leveraging Octasic's network-ready VoP media processing solutions fully equipped with consolidated Megaco and SIP stacks, to deliver the best voice quality on the market'.

'Enriching our OCT9320 and OCT9360 Series of PTMC modules with Radvision's stacks is a win-win deal', says Fabio Gambacorta, Octasic's Vice President, Business Development.

'It extends our reach in the media gateway market and makes us a one-stop shop for customers which in turn facilitates their development of high quality media gateway solutions within time and cost budgets'.

'The solution comprising Octasic and Radvision technology augments our multiservice access gateway with advanced media processing and call signalling capabilities, enabling us to effectively compete in the VoIP network environment', said Haim Volinsky, VP Marketing and Business Development, Teledata Networks.

'It is a solid solution, and was incorporated into our product within a very short period of time'.

These joint solutions have been rigorously tested and validated for compatibility and interoperability and are deployed with a variety of gateways.

According to Jacob Bridger, Vice President of Business Development at Radvision: 'Octasic's high density media processing modules are the perfect complement to our carrier grade SIP and Megaco toolkits'.

'Our software products' high performance and uncompromising reliability and interoperability make them the right choice for infrastructure applications'.

The OCT9320 and OCT9360 Series of PTMC modules both offer carrier-grade echo cancellation and voice quality enhancement features for G.711 media gateway hardware designs up to 1008 channels.

Additionally, the OCT9360 Series provides processing for lowbitrate codecs like G.729, G.723.1 and T.38 (fax relay).

Now complete solutions, these modules have been integrated with Radvision's Megaco and SIP stacks which are available for licensing from Radvision.
