Under the new management of Octo Media, 3C 2005 showcased the latest products and services from cleanroom design and construction through to clothing, equipment and consumables. This year's event was well received by both exhibitors and visitors proving that new show management has re-established 3C on the event calendar. Peter Knott, Sales Manager, PMT added: 'A difference has been made - we will be back next year because Octo Media delivered what they said they would'.
And Susan Stephenson, MD, DOP Solutions and exhibitor at 3C commented: 'A great buzz this year in comparison with previous show'.
'We had more visitors and more business'.
Visitors were similarly impressed, and Steve Taylor from Astra Zeneca said: 'We have made some useful contacts for the future at both 3C and MDT'.
'Both shows have been very well organised'.
A new feature for 2005 were two training courses on cleanroom technology and cleanroom testing, delivered by Bill Whyte, a Research Fellow at Glasgow University.
Over the last 35 years he has built up a reputation as one of the UK's leading authorities on contamination control and cleanroom design.
The courses proved very popular with 120 delegates keen to get the latest tips on best practice.
For the first time, the show was officially sponsored by Cleanroom Technology magazine, the only UK-based magazine in the sector, and additional marketing support from The Society of Engineers, Laboratory Update and medical device Technology magazine.
Next year's dates have been set for 15th and 16th February 2006 at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre.
Karen Parks, Managing Director of Octo Media said: 'We have had some really positive feedback from exhibitors'.
'The 2006 show is already taking shape and the show floor plan is bigger already'.
'We're looking forward to working with the Industry to deliver a better event for 2006'.
Once again 3C 2006 will colocate with: Medical Device Technology, Electronic Information Displays, Industrial Networks, IPOT (Image Processing and Optical Technology), Machine Vision, Machine Building, MTEC (Sensors, Measurement and Instrumentation) and Practical Vacuum.
