EMC conference programme available online
Full details of the EMC UK 2006 conference programme have just been announced, and abstracts of the papers that will be presented at the two-day event are available on the event website
The programme and booking details are now available from the event website at www.emcuk.info. There are two streams and five modules consisting of 36 papers. The opening module will include an address by Doedde Bakker, Chairman of Orgalime Technical Co-ordination Committee, followed by a panel discussion covering the guidelines for the new EMC Directive.
The panel, chaired by Dave Imeson of EMCTLA, will include Peter Howick and Derek German from the DTI Standards and Technical Regulations Directorate.
This opening module is free to all comers.
The remaining four modules will concentrate on: EMC design and the environment; EMC for telecommunications; automotive and railways; and defence and avionics.
Among the presenters are key names from British Aerospace, QinetiQ, NPL and TUV.
As well as EMC topics, WEEE, RoHS and LVD issues are included in the programme.
The event is supported by the IEE Professional Network, the EMCIA, the EMCTLA and more than 50 exhibitors.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
Registration can be made from the website, and a free CD ROM containing an information bank on EMC and compliance matters will be sent to all registrants.
