Nu Horizons Electronics Corp has signed an exclusive North American partnership agreement with AKM Semiconductor

Nu Horizons Electronics Corp has signed an exclusive North American partnership agreement with AKM Semiconductor, the US subsidiary of Asahi Kasei EMD Corp, the world's premier supplier of digital audio convertor ICs. The agreement covers the USA, Canada and Mexico. AKM manufactures over 150 digital audio conversion integrated circuits, including ADCs, DACs, codecs, digital interface circuits and audio DSPs.

AKM also provides low-power Class-D amplifiers, audio/video switches, and multimedia clocking IC's.

AKM is a leading supplier of portable video ICs, as well as mixed-signal solutions for wired and wireless communications.
