Nu Horizons Electronics Corp is to host a US-wide series of OEM business forums featuring Sun Microsystems. Each forum is focused on critical industry issues, such as innovation, secure access, environmental compliance and multi-platform interoperability, specifically targeted for any business unit engaged in OEM application of systems and embedded technology. "Our existing and potential Sun customers can invest one day with leading industry professionals to discover and exchange ideas that will help them improve product functionality and performance", said Dan Romanelli, Vice President of OEM System Sales at Nu Horizons.

"These events are a great place for OEMs to obtain the latest information on Sun's technology portfolio and how their products can be leveraged to gain competitive advantage".

"The challenges faced by global OEMs today are tremendous", said Colin Fowles, Director, OEM Business Office at Sun.

"We are pleased to sponsor Nu Horizons and our partners in sharing OEM best practices to simplify processes, and leverage technology and partnerships to reduce costs while delivering superior value to end users".

In addition to formal presentations by Sun technology officers and senior managers, OEM technology partners will also be available for round-table and one-on-one discussions to explore solutions specific to company individualised technology issues.

The rollout of these multi-city forums commences today in Rochester, New York, with seminars in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Chicago, Illinois, scheduled for the first week of December.

Plans for the first quarter of 2005 include forums in the cities of San Jose, Denver and Boston.
