Nortech's new motorised readers have been used in a wide range of applications since their launch into the market. The card capture device has been well received in both the parking and access control markets. The font end device is available in magnetic stripe, smartcard and proximity format to allow easy integration into almost any OEM system.

The reader passes information onto the controller, which decides whether to allow or disallow entry, and capture or return the card.

The motorised reader has proved extremely useful in applications where visitor's cards need to be captured on their exit, but staff cards returned.

The system can also be used to capture stolen or expired cards.

The device can be easily integrated into pedestals, turnstiles, doors etc.
