Sepura signs for Tetra noise reduction
NCT's ClearSpeech noise reduction technology has been licensed to Sepura for integration into its Tetra handheld radios
Sepura is the world's leading independent Tetra terminal supplier. Its handsets are used worldwide by the emergency services and the military, as well as transport and utility companies. ClearSpeech is a suite of complex, highly refined software algorithms that provide noise cancellation for human listeners, noise cancellation for voice recognition, echo cancellation and signal conditioning.

'This is obviously of utmost importance for the emergency service sectors where clear communications is critical'.
Sepura has licensed NCT's Adaptive Speech Filter algorithm, a component within the ClearSpeech suite of products.
The Adaptive Speech Filter (ASF) is a patented algorithm designed to filter noise from signals containing both speech and noise.
ASF is effective against a wide variety of 'stationary' noises whose amplitude and pitch change slowly compared with the spectral variations characteristic of human speech.
'We are very proud to have Sepura adopt our ClearSpeech technology for such an application'.
'It is good to know that our voice technology will be used by the emergency services; helping to provide clear communication, often in safety critical circumstances', said Dr Gillian Davis, Managing Director of NCT.
