Presented by National's experts in power management technologies, the one-day intensive technical seminars will give designers and engineering managers access to the most up-to-date tools, tips, product information and design expertise.
At each session, National's experts will discuss power management fundamentals and applications, new topologies, design troubleshooting, as well as the latest high-performance power management products.
Topics covered in the seminars include: fundamentals and tradeoffs of different switching power supply architectures; designing with linear regulators for high performance and low noise; how to select external components including diodes, capacitors, FETs and inductors; highly efficient power-over-Ethernet (PoE) solutions for powered device applications; and optimal architectures for portable applications including LED lighting and battery charging.
Since 1984, National has conducted these highly practical technical seminars that feature a blend of analogue design concepts, tutorial review of basic principles, and real-world applications.
Highlights of this year's power management seminar include interactive discussions as well as demonstrations of National's Webench online design tool.
Preregistration is required to guarantee a place, which includes lunch and presentation handbook.

The series begins on 28th September 2005 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and concludes on 25th October in Oulu, Finland.
