Sun's GigaSwift Ethernet adapter line now features Jumbo Frames and Sun Trunking 1.3 support, as well as other enhancements to reduce system processing overhead.
"Sun's networking products are used in data centre applications where reliability is crucial and legacy products must be seamlessly upgradeable.
This new networking chip provides complete compatibility with the Solaris operating system", said Raju Penumatcha, Senior Director, Network and Security Products Group at Sun Microsystems.
