Positive book-to-bill boosts National
National Semiconductor has reported revenues of $369.5 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2002 and a 22% increase in new orders booked during the quarter.
National Semiconductor has reported revenues of $369.5 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2002 and a 22% increase in new orders booked during the quarter The company recorded a net loss of $0.21 per share for the quarter, which ended 24th February 2002, compared with a second quarter loss of $0.26 per share on revenues of $366.5 million
In last year's third quarter, National reported net income of $39.2 million, or $0.21 per share, on revenues of $475.6 million.
Last year's results included a pre-tax charge of $12.1 million related to the acquisition of innoCOMM.
"Our bookings momentum during the third quarter shows that our strategy and our programs are working", said Brian L Halla, chairman, president and CEO.
"We not only increased National's bookings by 22% sequentially, but we also grew orders year-over-year and had a positive book-to-bill for the first time in six quarters".
