3M Touch Systems has chosen Midwich as a value added distributor for its range of MicroTouch LCD touch monitors in the UK.

3M Touch Systems has chosen Midwich as a value added distributor for its range of MicroTouch LCD touch monitors in the UK.

Midwich, Europe's largest AV distributor and the UK's leading distributor of AV, digital imaging, computing, displays, printing, consumables and peripherals, will market the MicroTouch M150 (15in) and M170 (17in) desktop monitors from 3M through its IT reseller channel for various commercial and consumer applications.

"3M is a strategic fit for our display business because it fills a gap in our existing product portfolio", commented Lee Baker, Divisional Manager, Midwich.

"We are becoming increasingly involved in the installation side of AV, so we are extremely keen to get 3M involved in our projects".

"The agreement is also a fantastic opportunity for both companies to enter new markets including home automation and education".

The 3M monitors will be sold through professional sales teams based in Midwich's Head Office in East Anglia.

In addition, a Fast Force sales team will be assigned to engage in proactive selling.

Customers will benefit from a value-added support package with each monitor sold, including dedicated account management, access to skilled technical specialists, product training, warranty support, marketing support and a range of AV installation services.

The monitors incorporate ultra-durable ClearTek II capacitive touch screen technology from 3M to create robust, accurate and reliable touch display solutions.

Both M150 and M170 models feature maximum touch stability as well as a peripheral attachment system, locking mechanism, adjustable display angle, and various mounting options.
