MobiForms announces the release of MobiForms 2.1. MobiForms now runs with Sybase SQL Anywhere and supports multiple data types from different database suppliers. MobiForms 2.1 improves support for Oracle Server and Oracle Lite.

MobiForms also supports the Sybase jConnect and iAnywhere JDBC drivers.

It is a rapid application development tool for building mobile applications for Windows CE, Pocket PC, EPOC/Symbian and Palm based PDAs.

MobiForms revolutionises the creation of mobile applications by reducing development time from days to minutes with the intuitive MobiForms drag and drop interface.

MobiForms gives the power of a whole army of unrelenting Java programmers by automating the development process and removing the need for the application developer to know a single line of Java.

With MobiForms an application that would traditionally take days to write in Java or C++ can be built in minutes.

MobiForms helps develop professional applications for asset collection, field service, inspection, market research, site surveys, stock control and workshop management.

The latest release can make a local database unnecessary.

Instead, the user can read and write to any ASCII file format like Excel CSV using the MobiForms simple MobiScript language.

With MobiScript users can also call other programs like barcode scanning software.

The MobiForms development environment has additionally been improved with a colour palette and font chooser so that users can apply attributes directly to buttons, check boxes, fields, labels and lists.
