Tools cut out manual
work in Spike's hat-trick
IC design specialist Spike Technologies has completed three chips using the Monterey toolsuite
Spike Technologies was contracted to complete the designs for one of the largest electronics companies in the world. The chips are currently being manufactured at merchant foundries in Taiwan. The largest design contains 18 clock domains and over 500 clock gating elements. The Monterey solution automatically constructed the gated clock trees, which the Spike engineers had expected to require a significant amount of manual work.
