as integrated circuits reach 50 million transistors. In addition to discussing the pros and cons of todayûs design methodologies, panelists will cover promising research currently underway. Reed will focus on current developments that underscore the need for a robust hierarchical design solution.
The panel, moderated by Jonah McLeod, EDA industry veteran, is part of the DesignCon 2002 plenary panel sessions.
Other panelists include: Ahsan Bootehsaz, vice president, engineering with Synopsys; Chris Malachowsky, vice president, engineering with NVIDIA; and Nancy Nettleton, manager, ASIC design methodology with Sun Microsystems.
DesignCon is a solutions-based EDA and semiconductor industry event held annually in Silicon Valley.
It features more than 80 technical sessions covering product case studies, design methodologies, and new product technologies.
The discussion takes place on Wednesday 30th January 2002 at the Santa Clara Convention Centre.
