        Operating system supports DaVinci technology
MontaVista Linux Professional Edition (Pro) is the first available operating system for Texas Instruments' DaVinci technology.

MontaVista Linux Professional Edition (Pro) is the first available operating system for Texas Instruments' DaVinci technology. With DaVinci technology, TI and MontaVista will provide the industry's first complete offering of an open platform to enable digital video innovation without requiring extensive digital video expertise. As part of the new DaVinci technology offering, TI will include MontaVista Pro together with two digital signal processor (DSP) based SoCs, multimedia codecs, application programming interfaces (APIs), frameworks and development tools for innovative digital video systems.
With the integration of MontaVista Linux Pro, TI is delivering an innovative solution that reduces system costs and helps speed time to market for digital video developers.

In its fourth generation, MontaVista Professional Edition is the first and only commercial embedded Linux operating system to offer the latest real-time enhancements available in open source.

Pro delivers this support along with superior performance and reliability through unique processor family-specific tool chains.
