New from Micro Technic, the Micronix PV series is a complete line of four-port PC/104 modules for serial communication via RS232, RS422 or RS485

Micronix PV interfaces allow designers to customise systems to any given combination of RS232, RS422 or RS485 data transmission in one single board. The boards feature a +5V only facility, making them applicable in PC/104 systems with only 5V available. The serial boards also supports shared interrupt in DOS applications using a C program module which can be download from the Micro Technic website.

With the advanced high-speed 16C550 UART (115Kbit/s) or super-high-speed 16C650 UART (up to 460Kbit/s) with 16byte FIFO industrial PCs can communicate with other computers or peripherals at a very high speeds.

All signals are surge protected for industrial use.

In total, the range comprises13 different versions to meet most combinations of serial communication in the four ports available.

Interesting versions include four RS232 ports (PV-4000), two RS422 and two RS232 ports (PV-2002) and a version with three RS232 channels and one RS485 channel (PV-3001).

The four-port serial boards are available from stock in Micro Technic's online webshop from US $99 (retail one-off price).

OEM 1000-off pricing starts at US $62.
