Centillium Communications has licensed the MIPS32 4Kc and 4Kp cores to develop powerful but cost-effective solutions for the growing broadband communications market. "Our customers are looking for powerful, highly integrated, yet cost-effective broadband communications solutions, and these cores allow us to meet the demand quickly and efficiently", said Roy Bartuni, vice president of engineering, Centillium Communications. "MIPS cores give us the performance we need with a minimum of silicon real estate, along with low power consumption and an ease of integration that helps our customers get to market fast".
