In addition the Mentor Graphics-Xilinx demonstration will be available on a worldwide basis via video-on-demand. "Mentor Graphics has further strengthened its FPGA "Concept To Silicon" flow with the addition of the Precision Synthesis platform", said Anne Sanquini, vice president and general manager of the Mentor Graphics HDL design division.

"The continued enhancements to our FPGA tool suite coupled with Mentor's collaborative efforts with companies such as Xilinx, provide designers with a faster, more intuitive design experience delivering excellent quality of results".

The scalable Precision Synthesis environment maximises the performance of the new generation of FPGAs, offering an intuitive design tool, automatic optimisation features and a new incremental timing engine.

In addition to Precision Synthesis, Mentor Graphics offers a full range of FPGA tools, including products for design creation and management, simulation, coverification, embedded systems, intellectual property, synthesis and FPGA-onboard.
