The widely used ACE compiler technology together with Mentor's leading XRAY debugger will provide ETAP members with access to a powerful, yet easy to use software development environment.
ACE's CoSy system is directly suited for easing the development of compilers for highly complex architectures and next-generation DSP cores.
By providing a powerful compiler generation technology that addresses key requirements, including an open system option for customisation, language and design flexibility, the CoSy environment enables developers to create more robust products at lower development costs.
In the DSP software development environment, ETAP members can have access to the CoSy system and the XRAY technology to support a wide range of DSP architectures, including multimedia, wireless and telecommunications devices.
ACE is currently providing CoSy technology and expertise to many companies within the embedded software industry, including Siroyan and Philips Semiconductors, both ETAP members.
As an example, Siroyan employs both the CoSy environment and Mentor's XRAY debugger technology to help SoC designers achieve optimal performance with its OneDSP architecture.
