Arbitrary function generators
run up to 50MHz
A new series of arbitrary function generators is available in the UK from Metrix Electronics
They can generate standard or user-defined waveforms with crystal controlled sampling rates up to 125MHz, 14bit vertical resolution and up to 4 million horizontal points. Uses include signal simulation and test in many industrial, laboratory and service applications. Customised waveforms can be created from scratch, or by editing standard waveforms.

Switch-mode supplies save on the bench
The new BK-VSP power supply series uses modern switch-mode technology to produce high-power low-noise switching supplies that cost around 25% less than linear supplies with the same power
A PC arbitrary waveform editor programme allows the user to create, edit and download complex waveforms.
Multiple waveforms can be stored in Flash memory.
Three models offer standard 31, 40 or 50MHz sine, square, ramp or pulse waveform outputs.
A choice of amplitude, frequency and FSK modulations are included, as well as extensive trigger modes.
A fourth model has dual-channel 50MHz outputs that can operate independently or in sum mode to create more complex waveforms.
All models include IEEE488.2 SCPI compatible and RS232C remote control interfaces.
Adapter kits are available to rack mount the bench instrument cases.
