Environment speeds embedded control
VenomIDE is a new free integrated development environment for use with the VM-1 embedded controller and Venom-SC object-oriented language
Micro-Robotics, the Cambridge based manufacturer of embedded control solutions and components, is celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing VenomIDE, an integrated development environment (IDE) designed for the company's VM-1 embedded controller and Venom-SC object-oriented language. One of the strengths of the VM-1 controllers has always been that the user programs in real time on the target hardware using tools readily available on any PC, such as a text editor and a terminal emulator.

With this new integrated editor and terminal package users can still program the VM-1 on any PC using a terminal emulator but many additional useful features are now available.
These include: easy, secure, optimised download of source files with full project management utilities; and error location achieved by double-clicking on 'error report' in the terminal that takes the user back to the source line and syntax highlighting with each element of the Venom-SC language being highlighted in a different style.
In addition, context-sensitive help is also now available on the Venom-SC language.
VenomIDE is available from Micro-Robotics as a free download. Request a free brochure from Micro-Robotics....
